That was a really tough loss. I enjoyed watching this team this year.
The goalie was awesome, the defense greatly improved and some real offensive talent.
I feel bad for the seniors but feel better about the program.

Re: Who's on your Hofstra Sports Mount Rushmore?
In my 11 and 12 year old eyes Steve Nisenson was amazing. Great shooter. Played just 3 years with freshman not eligible to play varsity ball. He would own the all time scoring record by a mile if 3 point shooting was an option and freshmen could play. I wonder if there are any videos of Steve's time...

Re: Congrats to Tyler Thomas and Darlingstone Dubar
Trazarien White probably would have been preseason CAA player of the year this year.
He plays at TCU and is averaging 27 minutes a game and 10 points p/g.
Started the season slow but is playing a lot more now.

Re: MBB Game 11 @Norfolk State Dec. 9 (Mon) 7 PM
Factor in no Gadsden and virtually no Sanders and playing a tough home team and this game had trouble written all over it. We need an engaged Sanders or he will find himself being phased out. Remember Dubar had games where he was invisible too but this team may have more options to go to than Dubar’...

So we have a 9 game preview of our 2024-2025 team. We look like we have some talent and depth at guard as usual. The front court may be an efficient group. Cruz Davis is making this team go. So smooth. Jean Aranguren can be a force and I think will continue to improve. I like the they both along with...

Re: MBB Game 7 Rice Nov. 29 (Fri) 7 PM ET
Nice win but there is no such thing as a bad win. The team keeps fighting. Very resilient. How smooth is Cruz Davis? Have we lost our free throw shooting ability? Shades of Rokas Gusys! Trivia alert…Rice guard Denver Anglin is the younger brother of Dallas Anglin who sadly was part of the 4 players ...

The refs were bad but I think affecting both teams. They called the charge at the end of regulation that was a close call that usually might go the home team’s way. Exciting game to watch. Plenty of stuff to improve upon but they are tenacious and resilient. Great job of assembling a roster. Looks li...

Re: Men's Soccer 2024
I watched the game and it was a tough physical game. To win the game in overtime on that amazing shot has to be one of the great moments for a soccer program that has had so many.
Winning like that may be quite a spark t0 get on a run to do a 4peat!!
Good luck tomorrow guys!

Re: Three-Star PG Commits to Hofstra
We are seeing edited video where the player only shines. Agreed Jaquan would drive and then kick the ball out all the time. His shortcoming was his inability to consistently score on the drive. The recruit was scoring off the drive, why dish it off? I will be interested in hearing Speedy's take on t...

Re: Three-Star PG Commits to Hofstra
Watching the video, he reminds me of Jaquan Carlos but at least at this level he gets to the hoop better.

Re: another trivia question
Boy I did not realize he lasted 8 years in the league.
Pretty impressive.
Not a prototypical running back. Fairly tall, not super fast and not a bruising back. He must have had some good instincts and could wait and find some holes. An over-achiever I think. Nice career.

Re: Next Year's Team
What I think we all will like about Arunguren's game is he gets to the rim. We really did not have that this year. Seems like he also has a mid range game as well. If Cruz Davis is healthy, we should be real good at the guard spot. Thank you Iona for both!

Re: Estrada @ Alabama
I will root foe Estrada not Charleston and I assume I am not alone on this board. On another note it seems like the people making the NCAA draw have an eye on storylines in their 1st round matchups. See Alabama and Estrada vs Charleston and last year in pre draw predictions had Hofstra danced Lunard...

Re: Estrada @ Alabama
Estrada’s backcourt mate is a load to guard. Charleston needs to game plan for Sears more than Aaron. It might open the door for a fine game for Estrada. If Sears was on the HU roster this year, our total free throw numbers would have been much different. He gets to the hoop so well.
