Re: Next Year's Team

The Arkanas article talks about Dubar being a guard who can shoot the three...that's waht they are looking for.

Re: MBB Game 21 @ Monmouth, Jan 27 (Sat), 2 PM

I really don't get this undersized thing...we put out 6-10, 6-8, 6-5 (plotnikov) 6-3 and Carlos, a generous 5-10...he's the only one small in stature.
It's the bench that is killing us...Washington 6-3, Robinson 6-3 and the statue, Sunday.

Re: MBB Game 22 Stony Brook, Feb. 1 (Thu), 7 PM

Our record against the spread has been woeful...think we have been favored in every CAA games this far and we are .500.
As triplec says, we'll take the win, by any score!

Re: MBB Game 22 Stony Brook, Feb. 1 (Thu), 7 PM

For what its worth, ESPN gives us an 81.8% chance of beating SBU a second time. They did a pretty good job on Thomas but then Dubar and Carlos really showed out...this time let's hope all three play well in front of hopefully a decent crowd with the students back.

Re: Next Year's Team

Timberlake having a tough time of it at Kansas but Estrada fairing better at Alabama in a totally different role. I do find this very deplorable when you take the A out of AMATEUR in college sports been watching this great game of basketball a long time. Now P5 schools can pick up a schools roster ...

I cannot speak for Timberlake but Estrada has about $500,000 in his bank account for making the move.

Re: Next Year's Team

Cannot blame Dubar if he is offered Estrada money...that's just the way it is now...we'll see other CAA top players leave as well. Now, more than ever its critical for mids to get freshmen with potential, develop them and watch the P5s grab them after a couple of years. Also critical for us to find ...

Tom is a good coach and better recruiter. He knows how to get stuff done...good for him he's having success at Quinnipiac.

Re: Next Year's Team

I think every year will be a rebuilding year with the NIL and transfer rules the way they are. Probably right but this is the program that found Speedy, Agudio, Jenkins, Wright-Foreman, and less local but still in state, Stokes. Why has that just dried up? HU used to be Guard U. with top CAA, local...

Re: Next Year's Team

I don't see Wilmouth as a 5 - He makes Fritz look like a body builder. More like a stretch 4 as I heard somewhere he could shoot 3's. Have to keep Dubar somehow because losing him and Thomas too much to overcome. Going to have to make a killing in the portal. Zman, that's what we have in stock righ...

Re: 2023-24 CAA MBB Awards

Congratulations to Dstone on his great week! Just imagine if we won all three!!!
He has become THE GO TO GUY on this team...
We should start a GO FUND ME page to get him enough NIL money to stay next year!

Next Year's Team

Ok so were just past the halfway point of this year's season and so far we can all pretty much agree that its been somewhat disappointing to date With that in mind I started thinking bout NEXT YEAR's team it looks like we are facing a MAJOR rebuilding effort. We are definitley losing two starters, F...

Re: MBB Game 22 Stony Brook, Feb. 1 (Thu), 7 PM

There are now six teams tied at 4-4 by my count...we need to separate ourselves from the pack...this is the week to do it as the schedule gets tougher from now on after these two games.

Re: MBB Game 21 @ Monmouth, Jan 27 (Sat), 2 PM

Very deflating loss...you just knew that when we get a good first half we were due for a poor one. Momouth switched their defense in the second half doubling on the ball, especially Thomas and we had no answer. But come on! The fouls were ridiculous! Monmouth went to the line 37 TIMES!!!!!!! 37 time...

Re: MBB Game 21 @ Monmouth, Jan 27 (Sat), 2 PM

This game will be a huge determinant of where this team stacks up in the League...win this one and we start a run to reach the top four. Lose this one and we're a middle of the pack squad. The view from the Jersey Shore...nice that their hometown paper covers them! https://www.app.com/story/sports/c...

I think he's chasing those numbers and its hurt his production. Thinking too much as you said Wags...lets see if he relaxes more going forward and plays up to his level.

Agreed the social media stuff is fun and creative...if only they would give us some real information like, "WHERE IS TOMASCO?'
