You're right, they did win 2 games this year. I apology for stating incorrect information. All good but yes no doubt this season has been beyond a disaster and this team may be worst of any sport I can recall in my nearly three decades following Hofstra sports. The 2019/20 wbb team that went 3-27 a...

They are by far the worst of the fall teams and stats tell story, but incorrect to say they haven't won a game as they beat Rider and Wagner early in the season. Is dissapointing after making CAA playoffs last season for first time since 2015, so hopefully will prove to just be one year blip and the...

Look, it would be super cool if they had a football program. But logically, how in the world could they support another NIL sport, the discussion to bring it back is a non-starter. You nailed it Cactus. If money were no object I would love to have football again and also start hockey program as wel...

Massive loss for Hofstra athletics. He has gone above and beyond in his SID role and is truly irreplaceable. I hope in short-term we can find someone with experience to take on his many responsibilities, especially with MBB season starting soon.

We beat 0-5 Hampton today 2-10-1, 2-1. We were expected to win this and did just that. Hampton got a goal that slid thru our goalies hands and I'll give Bailey a pass on this goal considering the weather conditions but a goal she should never give up. We had 6 SOG to their 2 and both goals scored b...

Slowly climbing out of the hole... not there yet, as noted they need to continue to string together important conf wins - making the CAAT is an absolute must for a program like this - that's table stakes and should be a foregone conclusion literally every year. The real measure and expectation is a...

Huge road win to put us in an solid spot to reach the CAA playoffs heading into home stretch. If we can beat William & Mary Thursday will be positioned for a 4-0-2 start with Hampton on schedule Sunday.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tst217wslc4&t=407s President Poser briefly addressed this topic in her state of university speech Wednesday at link above starting around 6:50 mark where she mentioned partnering this past summer with IMEG, an engineering consulting firm, who consulted with Gensle...

Great interview. The more I hear from her the more I like.

Another solid hire with Long Island ties (Northport).

Non-league play went about as bad as can be record wise, but good news is it is a fresh slate starting Sunday. This first game against Towson is crucial though and is essential they come out of it with no worst than a draw because otherwise you are really fighting upstream to make the CAA Tourney in...

Great feature on Nicole and her high ambitions for new job.

S.4668 119th Congress (2025-2026): Protect College Sports Act of 2026 https://share.google/Bl460jdtkXUaObaBo My thoughts - Think it's too tilted to the bigger schools. Permanently locks mids and smaller teams into a second tier. There are some positives like limiting transfers and trying to reign i...

Am even more excited about the hire after seeing this awesome miced up of Coach Levy copied above leading her first practice. She has a great way of connecting with players to go along with her strong lacrosse knowledge.

Despite the loss yesterday Brown game was encouraging as that is a legit team who just a week ago dismantled 13th-ranked Central Florida 7-0 and Hofstra was right there toe-to-toe. Hopefully can end non-conference play on good note against Seton Hall Thursday and then CAA schedule offers a fresh sta...

She also has Long Island ties a...

Great character win against very solid Yale program. Hopefully this serves as confidence boost and gets team rolling as we get closer to CAA play.

So I might be in the minority of thinking a campus village/college town, done right, would be a really cool thing and a great way for getting Hofstra's name out there. But looking at the costs that Stu estimated, bringing back Preston and plastering his face all over Long Island would have been a l...

Everyone should also consider the added costs of the new faculty contract that is being negotiated. All of these expenses have to be added in. Every Long Island family is feeling the added cost for food, gas, and electricity. HU also has to be feeling these new expenses. Taking on extra economic un...

There is no sugar coating it Polito that this is shaping up to be potentially very bad season by Hofstra standards. They have had remarkable consistency over the last three decades with only two missed conference tournaments since 1999 in 2006 and 2016 and haven't had a losing season since 1996. Cle...
