Re: Transfer Portal
These are only kids college students albeit talented kids but when you don't want to play for the college that has been paying your tuition etc. you just put yourself into the transfer portal because maybe there's more $$ out there due to this NLI concept. So isn't this the way now to legalize mone...

Re: Transfer Portal
So next year, assuming Tyler comes back, we have 4 guards on the roster (TT, JC, DD, GP). Rest of the team has either zero experience or are "practice players".
We have no forwards/centers on the current roster. The effort for coaches to recruit has become a full-time offseason job!

Re: Unfinished business
Just posted the same on the transfer portal discussion thread. This guy would be a nice addition/piece of the puzzle. Sean Durugordon - 6'5" SF that HU tried to get 2 years ago out of high school. He signed with Mizzou, then transferred after one year to Austin Peay (averaged 12 ppg and 6 rpg)....

Re: 2023 NIT
AE, TT, and DD showed up. They each scored upper teens and led the team in rebounds. No one else had a positive impact. Our 5s got outrebounded and gave us nothing offensively, in fact they actually hurt on some possessions. JC gave us nothing offensively and got outplayed by a much quicker and expe...

Re: 2023 NIT
Any chance the ticket demand is high enough that they roll out some of the upper level stands - that would be awesome (reminiscent of the Nebraska game).

Re: 2023 NIT
Just received an email from Carla at the HU tix office. If you are a season tix holder, you can reserve your seat. Below is the email text that was sent to season tix holders. That being said, depending on the way things shake out with the Virginia Tech/Cincinnati game tonight, there is a likely pos...

Re: 2023 NIT
Nobody seemed to be mentioning the fact that Villanova is in the NIT but what's worth mentioning is they're unseeded and have to go on the road to play Liberty! What! Nobody can rest on their laurels and it seemed not to long ago they were winning a National Championship with Jay Wright. So while N...

Re: 2023 NIT
Here's another site with NIT predictions. It has us as a #7 seed: https://www.dratings.com/predictor/bracketology/ Very sad that with a solid OOC, by the end of the season our SOS was 205 (per attached bracket table). Hate to beat a dead horse, but the CAA expansion has been an absolute disaster fo...

Re: The future of postseason for men’s basketball
Ultimately, what I think could happen, is once the P2/P3 becomes a reality, they might just form their own org and exit the NCAA period and blow that whole thing to smithereens. Have heard some opinions the last week or so that this is the way college football will go. The top P-level programs (may...

Re: Charleston wins CAA Title
Recall seeing something on TV last night that indicated CoC had a SOS in the 320+ range. If that was correct, you could have envisioned a 30 win snub given a pretty easy schedule. I know HU had a very good OOC SOS. Anyone know what our overall SOS was? It could not have been that good given the CAA ...

Re: CAA MBB Semifinal Game vs. UNCW - Monday, March 6, 6PM
Its a miracle that game even got to OT, and the fact that uncw didn't win going away with their "A" game almost makes it even worse. Goes to show that had hofstra even played an average game would have won by a couple possessions. Charleston and Towson would have beaten Hofstra by 20 poin...

That was truly embarrassing for a once solid program.

Re: Does this mean they are staying
NIL or professional basketball will play a huge role in their decisions. This the new world of college basketball...some Power 5 school can come in and offer Aaron and Thomas, for that matter hundreds of thousands of dollars to play a mercenary year for them...sad but true...surely their families c...

Re: 2023 CAA MBB Playoff Schedule
Too bad we dont play a mid-week game on Wed/Thursday this week. As it stands, we are scheduled to go through a 2 week stretch leading up to the CAA tourney playing only one game over two weeks. Since guys are generally healthy and we don't need time off to get healthy, I would rather we play another...
