Like all the references Stu so with both the soccer problems doing well will our B.B. teams follow suit women's and the men's?

William & Mary scored 12 seconds in before we won 4-1. Ryan Carmichael scored the last 3 goals. We're 7-1-0 and 2-1-0 in the CAA with a loss at Northeastern, who has a great record. On October 23 we host James Madison, who has poll votes.

So with Womens soccer getting most of the attention with a 9-1 start #11 ranking and #7 with top Drawer Our mens team is slowly getting noticed with a 7-1 start we now are ranked #22 by top drawer. Keep it up men. BTW we lead St Joes 1-0 after 7 minutes. Game is delayed by lightning.

HU soccer, impressive all around - really like the game, and like that HU has 2 quality programs. Cool to see this U in top 25 rankings. Would love to take my girls to a game either men or women. Sure they'd love it, as would I.

Men move to 9-1 with an impressive 4-1 over Delaware. This was Richard Nuttall's 299th win as soccer coach for Hofstra. We play Columbia next for his shot at number 300. BTW Ryan Carmichael scored two more goals giving him 8 on the season. We now have a three prong attack of goal scorers with Carmichael, Vokwinkle and Srongin.

The RPI and National Soccer Coaches Poll disagree among CAA teams. We're the top team in "also receiving votes." JMU is Number 15, while being fourth in the CAA in the RPI. Northeastern is second in the CAA in the RPI, but doesn't have any poll votes.

Mens soccer with a workmanlike 4-0 win over Lafayette Matt Vockwinkle with 2 goals and an helper and Ryan C with goal number 13 as he leads the NCAA in goals and a helper too Veesel Speel only 2 saves which teally didnt test him for his 5th clean sheet Now-comes a real test against #23 JMU

We go to Elon three weeks in a row with the Women tomorrow, then the Men, and then the Women in the CAA Tournament.

Learned a new phrase today Hendrick with a" brace" today. Thats soccer lingo for two goals in a game.

So now we have new terms I will bring to the board. In soccer 2 goals is a brace 3 goals a hat trick same as hockey. 4 goals is a haul and 5 goals is a glut. Any questions?

As a soccer fan, I don't know terms for 4 and 5 goals, and they are rare. In addition to 2 goals being called a brace, it is also called "on a hat trick." I have a lot of soccer I am interested in in November.

Congrats to the team for earning the regular season championship! With JMU’s news and no longer being able to compete in or host conference championships, the tournament has been moved from JMU to Hofstra.
