Cross Country
I just wanted to give a little recognition to our XC teams. The results might not look all that great on paper, but their finishes yesterday at the CAA tournament in Charleston were actually historically pretty good. The women came in 6th, which was their best finish since 2003. The men came in 4th, which was their best finish ever. Becky Celorio is Hofstra's first ever women's All-CAA runner, and Douglas Dourado is Hofstra's 2nd ever men's All-CAA runner. Maybe the success of this season will carry on for the future, and we can actually have a decent cross country program. Kudos to Coach Giambanco for motivating the team to do this well. Both teams will run the NCAA tournament on November 13.

Re: Cross Country
When I've spoken to Giambanco it seems like he has a clear plan and an understanding that building this team up is a long-term assignment. He's done very well.
