Verbal commits indicates that Austin Williams just committed to Marist.

Looking more and more like we will have to settle on Greer and Trueheart at the 4 and HUSID80, your prediction of JAM landing impact 4 in this class will not happen

A while back, we were talking about MiKyle McIntosh, a 6'7" 3 star guy from Illinois State. He is still available and we should be all over this guy! As HUSid80 pointed out, this is the same school we picked up Zeke Upshaw from. This guy could be the perfect impact 4 - and I do not believe that he is out of our reach (not like he's from and going to P5). He is immediately available for 1 season. I know there is talk about the draft, but if not........

Recruiting now goes on through June Gary. It ain't over til it's over when classes start. We landed guys like Upshaw and Koon real late in the game...

To answer my own question the 5/17 deadline is for high school players. You can sign transfers up until 7/6. Then there is a dead period till 7/31. After 7/31 recruits must be registered for classes. So recruiting is on till 7/6. Still plenty of time. But our options are running out

We have till 7/6 to sign JUCO grad transfers. The 5/17 deadline is for high school seniors. Ray though has to sign his LOI or it's off to prep school for him. Like I said before show me any site that has him signing his LII. A verbal means squat today

I mean Ray himself changed his twitter page from 'Commit' to 'Signee' at the time he was reported to have signed, so i would have to think he's in.

Fair point that it's odd there's been no announcement, and nothing is certain until he's on the floor.

So to make sure I understand, the 5/17 date is only for HS Seniors?

And the July date is for Juco and also any other transfers, whether 5th year or otherwise?

I hope you are right John. I do find it strange that there was no official announcement about Ray

Looks like the only high schooler left on our list is the swing forward from LI. Got to think the focus has shifted to transfers...

completely agree. Focus is on 2018 high school and transfers. JM has to deliver on the 4 - and it has to be someone who helps immediately!! Even if ST has really developed and will be an impact redshirt freshman, he still will be a freshman (and play with all that comes with being a freshman).

If the last spot goes to a transfer who has to sit a year, I am OK with that as long as the guy is a stud and worth getting. Wouldn't be a bad idea to pick up the RG replacement this year and let him work with the team for a year before becoming eligible. With most of the front line leaving next year, I would feel better knowing we have one of the key spots we will need already taken care of.

From the lack of commitments I'm not getting a good vibe about next year's team. :(
