There's a very good article on a New York area tournament on the Mid-Major Madness section of SB Nation. It deals with the possibilities of a local tournament using the Philadelphia Big Five (6) as a model.

Anyone hear anything more on the at UNLV game? I see it on the UNLV schedule but Hofstra still doesn't have it listed on their schedule.

The HU-UNLV game is also listed on ESPN. Not sure why it's left off the schedule on the HU site. Also, ESPN projects Tyler Thomas as the favorite for 2023-24 CAA player of the year. Edit 10-19-23: The HU-UNLV game is listed on the CAA site which has all the conference members schedules.

The CAA announced a 27-game CBS Sports Network schedule today (24 regular season games, including a CAA wild-card choice on 3/2).

Hofstra will be on the CBS Sports Network for two road games and two home games this year, including sort of a CAA hoops version of Monday Night Football with that late start time at Stony Brook and a rare Saturday evening home game against Towson.

Thu 1/11 Hofstra at Northeastern 7 PM
Mon 1/22 Hofstra at Stony Brook 9 PM
Sat 2/3 Towson at Hofstra 6 PM
Thu 2/22 Drexel at Hofstra 7 PM

The Duke (ESPN2) and St. John's (FS1) games will also be on national TV. So at least six appearances, possibly a seventh on 3/2.

Although, we really want at least two that aren't listed above - the CAA title game and at least one NCAA tourney game to follow.

I think that's a higher percentage of CAA regular season games on CBS Sports Network than last season.

Drexel plays Hampton before the other teams play, so after Gamedays 1 through 9, they will have an extra game planned. On Gameday 10, Hampton plays Howard in an HBCU game, and Drexel does not. After that day, which is February 3, CAA teams will have the same amount of games played after every Monday and Thursday. If you define a week as Tuesday to Monday, there are no weeks when teams play a travel partner and have only one game, and there are no weeks with three games if you define a week as Tuesday to Monday. If you use the normal NCAA definition of Monday to Sunday, the only three game weeks and one game weeks are when teams play Monday instead of the preceding Saturday. Other than CBS Sports Network, Towson has four nonconference and three conference games on Monumental, which was NBC Sports Washington. So far that is the only regional channel the CAA has games listed on.

Great to see, a shocking positive progression from the CAA - welcomed with open arms, a step in a better direction.
