This game is shaping up to be tougher than it looked a week or two ago. Princeton has won two in a row, OT win vs Iona on a neutral court its most recent win.

Both Newsday and ESPN has us as 2 point underdogs...hope we're not too rusty after the nine days without a game.

Seeing about the same - Princeton by 2.5 now, with a 147.5 O/U, so the expectation is roughly a 75-72 loss tonight.

The last time HU was a 2.5-point road underdog was in their last road game, the 73-45 loss at St. Bonaventure. So, it'll be interesting to see what happens this time.

We've ranged from down 1 to up 9. We lead 23-18. The teams have combined to shoot twos .625, threes .583, field goals .607, and the teams have 2 fouls and no free throw attempts each. Ray committed 2 early fouls and was replaced by Trueheart, who has 5. Pemberton has 9 without a miss.

Edit: Pemberton scored 11 without a miss in the first 9:27. Princeton got within 23-21, but we're on an 8-0 run and lead 31-21 with 7:39 left in the half. Hughes has played, but Schutte hasn't. Burgess has played, but Silverio hasn't. Therefore Schutte and Silverio may have fallen down the depth chart.

We are up because of good shooting, but its all one on one. No shots off screens and not a lot of ball movement.

Kante is so slow and plodding it hurts to watch him run up and down the court. Hughes had a nice block, but he needs more upper body strength.

Our larges lead was 12 at 33-21. We led 35-24 when Princeton went on a 9-0 run to go down 35-33. Luckily their last score of the half was 1 free throw with 1:51 left, and we scored 4 to lead 39-33. We're shooting twos great, but after starting out shooting threes well, we're down to 3-12. We didn't attempt a free throw, and Princeton shot 4-6. We have a big 11-2 advantage in points off turnovers. Buie and Pemberton played the whole half, and Coburn played 19 minutes. Pemberton and Jaelin Llewllyn are tied for the most points with 13. Buie has 9 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists (which leads all players), and 1 steal. Coburn has 8 points and is tied with Ethan Wright for the most rebounds with 4. Trueheart has 5 and Kante has 4. Ray (in 7 minutes), Hughes (in 7 minutes), and Burgess (in 4 minutes) haven't scored, with a missed three be rare being the only attempt from those three. Hughes and Trueheart have 1 block.

The good news is that the browser Edge is working. The bad news is that we committed 4 fouls in the first 2:17 of the half. Ray has scored 7 in the half, and we lead 46-37.

Edit: Princeton got within 46-43, and it's now 51-43 after Pemberton made a three to give him 16 to lead all scorers. Schutte played 5 minutes without shooting. He has 1 rebound, 1 block, 1 steal, 1 turnover, and 2 fouls. We have 5 fouls with 13:26 left, which is just over two-thirds of the half.

Edit: Pemberton scored, ran down the court, and blocked a layup by Ethan Wright, who looked open. Unfortunately, Pemberton hurt his leg. The play is being reviewed, but I don't know why. Pemberton walked gingerly. The good news is that he didn't look like he was in a lot of pain, and he didn't have a foot he couldn't put weight on. We lead 53-45.

Edit: We lead 55-45 and Pemberton is okay.

Edit: We tied our larges lead at 57-45, but our seventh foul put Princeton in the bonus with 10:04 left. Princeton has 5 fouls, so they can commit 1 more defensive foul without free throws if it isn't a shooting foul. Now it's 57-48.

Edit: We took our largest lead at 63-48, and it's 65-51 with 7:05 left. Princeton has the ball. Princeton is up to 8 fouls, and we have 7.

I never said edge wasn’t working, I didn’t say what browser I was using. I was on internet explorer and had problems in the first half but like the Pride things are looking good in the 2nd!

I guess Eli practicing late after Stony Brook game helped as he’s been awesome tonight. Would have to say this probably the best game Trueheart has played here. Has made some huge plays. And although not great to me Kante is looking a bit better.

Yep - when I signed up for ESPN+, I was having issues. I get tech support and they told me to use Chrome as they have issues with Edge. Edge still does not work for me, but Chrome works fine.

To me that’s a good thing, guy can’t just keep chucking air ball 3s. Tonight we played “Hofstra basketball” as JWF said once last year, nice to win a catfight from start to finish.
