I truly hope this program gets back on track. I realize the lacrosse environment has changed but Hofstra should not be enduring mediocre seasons or ranked 43rd in this year's Face Off Yearbook. The program has too rich a history. Hopefully, this year's squad will turn things around. See you at the Dutch Dome.

Men's lax opens the year with a 21 - 11 win over Wagner. HU got 8 goals from freshman and 4 from highly-touted freshman Sykes. Schedule gets tougher with a first-time meeting with Michigan next Saturday.

Even though not the greatest of opponents, hopefully offensive showing gives them confidence for tougher games ahead. Casey also was solid in net.

Tierney with an outstanding game and Casey in the nets was strong. Game tied at 6 at halftime and we took over from there.

Good start for the Pride at 2-0 with a big one vs Villanova next Saturday.

Surprised not to see Delaware in the top 20. The Hens have a lot of firepower, including two Tewaaraton nominees (A Charlie Kitchen and G Matt DeLuca) as well as a red-hot Canadian FR (Mike Robinson). Looking forward to seeing the Hens in the Dutch Dome in April.

Our next opponent, Villanova, upset Maryland today, so a big challenge in store Saturday at Shuart. A win there would really make a loud statement.

HU falls to Nova 10 - 8. Anyone know why McIntosh did play? Also whats up with Kinnard and Nick Williams. Both contributed last year but this year they are invisible.

Yup. One of my biggest gripes about sport's info at Hofstra is you rarely get complete or any real info on injuries.
