What big men have they signed? I don't see any on their espn or rivals recruing page.

HUDSID80...you said recently JG was one of 1st players off bench for Hoyas...natural progression would be for him to start as a sophmore???
Re: MBB recruits 2016
I checked online as well and I saw no biggies that have committed to Georgetown???
Re: MBB recruits 2016
I agree - JG played in every game for G'town - only thing is I know G'town has a 6'8" transfer from L'ville on there roster that should be eligible and healthy in 16/17garyg wrote:HUDSID80...you said recently JG was one of 1st players off bench for Hoyas...natural progression would be for him to start as a sophmore???

Copeland is the starter at 6ft9 and plays 33 minutes a game. he is only a soph.with 6ft9 Mourning and 6ft8 Agau plus the Louisville transfer, it is a pretty crowded front court. Walker will not be here next year. neither will Djambo. That leaves only Sabaty and Gustys next year.Do the math. Where will he have the best chance to get real playing time.

-Copeland is a 3/4 not a 5 like Govan. He plays on the perimeter most of the timestuball888 wrote:Copeland is the starter at 6ft9 and plays 33 minutes a game. he is only a soph.with 6ft9 Mourning and 6ft8 Agau plus the Louisville transfer, it is a pretty crowded front court. - Mouring doesn't get minutes now. (Hasn't played in 5 games and averages 11 less mins than Govan when he does.)
- Agau is the Louisville transfer. They're not 2 people. Plus he didn't play in a lot of games there. Not sure he's all that good.
- Their current Center, Bradley Hayes, will graduate after this season
-That means next year Govan is the only true center and has a nice chance of starting
In terms of Hofstra
- Walker is def not a lock to leave. If he does it would probably be too late to have any affect on Govan.
-Djambo 99% chance he's not here but you never know
If it's playing time that's the deciding factor, Hofsta far from the best option. I can only see him coming if they somehow get a great recruit, even tho they are not in the running for any 5 star big men or he is homesick/wants to play with Buie.
Re: MBB recruits 2016
I still think the chances of JG landing at Hofstra are very slim...plus he would have to sit out next year....if JAM starts to work Walker into lineup [like he may have started in Delaware game because Djambo is not gonna be here] I can see Walker coming back next year....hope JG does land at Hofstra but probably will not happen
Re: MBB recruits 2016
HF101 makes some excellent points Stu....
Re: MBB recruits 2016
I think the rumor was that he might be homesick. If the kid wants to come home then who Georgetown has in their front court is irrelevant. Not saying we should count on it, but it's logical to think that if he did decide to return home, out of all the locals, HU would have an advantage landing him since he is close with Buie.
Re: MBB recruits 2016
These are just rumors with not much substance behind them...Stu's rumor was lack of playing time...your rumor is homesick...any other rumors LOL

Re: MBB recruits 2016
I heard Buie has been sending him pics on campus and he actually prefers the women at Hofstra to the ones at Georgetown.garyg wrote:These are just rumors with not much substance behind them...Stu's rumor was lack of playing time...your rumor is homesick...any other rumors LOL
Re: MBB recruits 2016
See... there is another rumor...maybe the girls will recruit him...LOL...between Buie being his bud and the attractive girls maybe we do have a shot...he will forget all about Georgetown and the Big East and transfer to Hofstra once spring semester is over...

These kids have left for more specious reasons than those.

Anyone hear how EP is doing this season? I have heard nothing about him since he signed.
Re: MBB recruits 2016
He was named to an all tournament team a few weeks ago.. Saw it on Twitter along with this:
@Jasonduff0202
Elijah Pemberton was moving at another speed today in a win over Tilton. So quick and athletic. Sets his teammates up so well. Hofstra commit

Ours and W&M's performances against Towson are more confirmation that EP made the right choice.
