MBB Recruits 2018
Re: MBB Recruits 2018
Speedy is off to the Islands for a vacation. I guess he is not involved in big man recruiting?

It's giving us time for a final plan of action to land another big kid. I hope..........stuball888 wrote:Dead period. Graduation for college students and finals for high school students. NCAAdoesnt want their studies interrupted

So schools aren't allowed to recruit during finals/graduation? Never heard that before.stuball888 wrote:Dead period. Graduation for college students and finals for high school students. NCAAdoesnt want their studies interrupted

That’s why it’s a dead period. Some coaches can be very intrusive. Recruits should be pestered with calls when they are preparing for finals
Re: MBB Recruits 2018
Is this a such thing? A dead period? Calipari and Roy Williams have kids taking tests for students in college, I find it hard to believe kids aren't recruited 24/7stuball888 wrote:That’s why it’s a dead period. Re: MBB Recruits 2018
NCAA has very strict rules about the dead period
Re: MBB Recruits 2018
Per NCAA: During a dead period a college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents, and may not watch student-athletes compete or visit their high schools. Coaches may write and telephone student-athletes or their parents during a dead period.

Anyone know what this is in reference to? Usually ambiguous tweets like this are related to a commitment.

Re: MBB Recruits 2018
Georgia lists him as 6'8" and if I'm reading this correctly if the NCAA rules are changed in June as most people expect he should be able to play right away being that they hired the new coach in 3/18 Tom Crean from Indiana U. Are we feeling that this is the case??DCDUTCH wrote:5/30/2018 - 2017 C Isaac Kante (6-7, 236, 2★) Transferring to Hofsta

Re: MBB Recruits 2018
Even if he can't play right away, this is likely a good pick-up, thats why you always leave a spot open on the roster.
Now, if he can play right away, then he is exactly the kind of guy I was speaking about on the other thread ( a guy between ST and JA III - more beef that ST and more height/bounce than JA).
Out of high school he had offers from Georgetown, Georgia, St Johns, Depaul, Dayton, St. Bon, and others. Not too shabby!
Would love to see some video but I can't find any.
