Re: My New Tattoo
To Jordan, I just read your older post about your father and Coach M. What a wonderful memory for you and your family. I can still fondly recall the many HU games and road trips my late father and I took together. If any of you question what Coach M represents to the HU fans, just read Jordan's pos...

My New Tattoo
Not really looking top start a conversation on the ethics of a tattoo, just figured I'd share my new tattoo that I got today for my 18th birthday! My two reasons for getting it: (1) In memory of my father, and (2) Well...I REALLY love Hofstra :D In case you don't know the entire story of my father a...

Re: Softball 2017
I haven't watched enough softball this year to give a valid opinion, but just from reading the boards, it seems like the freshmen on the basketball team are treated much differently than that of the softball. Is there a reason for that? The basketball freshmen are given much more of a break than the...

Re: Who Fills Their Mens Hoops Class First, HU or UNCW?!? L
No one said failure disappointing yes Fair enough. Sorry Polito, but this isn't gym class (you either pass it or fail it). There's a wide range that a season can be graded on. Sure, we can deem a season as 'Successful' if we win the tourney and make the NCAA's. But to just deem all progress and acc...

Re: Who Fills Their Mens Hoops Class First, HU or UNCW?!? L
The NIT is not a consolation prize, especially when comparing the strides from Post-Cassara to the NIT team with Mihalich. That being said, the goal every year should be to win the Conference Tournament and go to the NCAA's. If that is not every single player/coaches mindset, then they don't deserve...

Colin is a great face for the program. Always kind and helpful any time I have ever needed to get in touch with him. Great hire. Nice article.

Re: Hofstra vs Villanova - 12/22/17 (Nassau Coliseum)
Well, for me at least, it was promised that it was going to be truly fixed, and instead they kind of just redid it a bit. In addition, the proposal that Dolan/MSG made for the property included using the NE corner of the Hofstra campus and really developing the area. That property has been so under...

Re: Hofstra/Hofstra Sports and the New Free College Cuomo Pl
3.61 Average GPA 90% had 3.0 GPA or higher Average SAT** (critical reading and math) 1180 I'm really surprised the GPA is that high. I got a 1370 SAT with a lower GPA than that. I would expect students with a 3.61 GPA to get well above 1180 on the SAT. 1180 is out of 1600 (the New Common Core SAT)....

Re: Hofstra vs Villanova - 12/22/17 (Nassau Coliseum)
Maybe my youth exposes my naivety, but why is there so much negativity surrounding this new arena? From what I recall this is not being funded through the taxpayers (as that outrageous 'Lighthouse Plan' was), and it has already brought in top rated performers and I assume will continue to. It's give...

Re: Hofstra vs Villanova - 12/22/17 (Nassau Coliseum)
word is the coliseum still sucks. still tiny concourse and entrances where you can't move, huge lines for bathroom. Attended the WWE event there. The concourses were certainly surprisingly small for a brand new building, although with a sold out show there was still room to walk with plenty of conc...

Re: Charles Jenkins in Serbia
I don't speak Serbian, but it seems as though that Jenkins's team won another championship (3 years in a row) and this year he was awarded MVP. Bravo! Europe has champions leagues for clubs from different countries, most famously in soccer, but also a EuroLeague for basketball. The EuroLeague regul...

Re: Charles Jenkins in Serbia
I thought he had moved up to a higher league now and is playing (and doing well) in Italy. I will try and follow up on this. That did happen, but I believe he didn't get as much playing time and returned back to Serbia. Also, he seemed to make big impact in Serbia and the fans loved him. I remember...

Charles Jenkins in Serbia
I have just recently stumbled upon a video that amazed me. I have always followed Jenkins on social media since he's begun his career in Serbia, and have noticed that he is certainly idolized as a hero over there (and I believe won championship with them?) Maybe some of you have some more accurate u...

Re: Another Honor for JWF
HU needs him to become a Jenkins level superstar these last 2 yrs to help get this program over the dance hump. He needs help around him of course in order to accomplish that, which CJ didn't really have, but HU really needs a game leader in the worst way. I agree, and totally see him with that cap...

Re: CAA Tournament
I guess I probably should've clarified...Well, whenever my father would be watching CAA sports, my mother would come into the room and ask "What're you watching?" to which he would respond with " CAA BABY !" (Pronounced: CAA Bay-Bay, with an emphasis on the rhyme attempt) He'd ev...

Re: Iona going to the dance
Congrats to Iona, Cluess has brought that school to its full basketball potential. Can we just join the MAAC already? Albany is so much closer than Charleston! Maybe it's an academic thing, I rather Hofstra associated with the CAA schools than the MAAC schools academically. It's also the ranking as...

Re: CAA Tournament
Polito, we have to face facts. Do you expect "Jordan" to not pay attention because his team is no longer involved? Exposure to our conference is always great. Never know what might come from tonights game. I will be watching tonight, as I am sure many other of the 8 teams fan bases that d...
