Re: 2021 Men's Lacrosse
I watched the post game with the coach. He mentioned that Several players may return...McIntosh possibly for 2 more years, Philbin, Herbert. Sykes, Sheridan Ardrey, Lufti can all play. Hope springs eternal. I root for the student athletes and I see what a tough game it is. Drexel is a load of a team...

Re: Transfers and Other Player News
More changes coming! My reliable source tells me that in addition to Kante, Masic, Schutte leaving, Coburn and Trueheart done, that Zion, Green and Omar are leaving as well. It's just a unique time in college basketball. Sounds like we need all the guards we brought in. Wonder if Estrada is immediat...

Re: 2021 Men's Lacrosse
If I am excited for the CAA Championships at Hofstra tomorrow, I can only imagine how pumped the team is. There are a lot of 5th year seniors that have been here a long time. It seems like a really tight team meaning close knit, not nervous. I hope they can put on a great effort. They have talent an...

Re: MBB Recruits 2021
This kid is really fast and can take some contact. The video reminds me of video I have seen of Jaquan Carlos. We have some super dynamic guards suiting up for us in the fall. With Speedy at the helm it looks like in guards we trust on steroids! We have the bodies to play man defense and to press li...

Re: Coaching search
The news I heard was Speedy gets the job,and an experienced former head coach will be fis bench coach. There is a nice safe landing in Mike Farrelly's future I was told. This is where JM's loyalty to his guys comes in. I am sure he holds MF in the highest regard. If I am right, when you see where he...

Re: Coaching search
When the official announcement comes I think we will see the touch of Coach JM.
He would not cut Mike Farrelly go without looking out for him.
Expect a safe landing for MF. Also expect a solid veteran assistant coach to help Speedy.
A win-win for everybody.

Re: Coaching search
I think it is done but are waiting for contracts to be signed. These people are all very decent people and I think we wish them all good things. What I heard sounds like a really positive thing for all concerned. If my info is good, I think you will all agree. It is not my place to tell you what I h...

Re: 2021 Men's Lacrosse
Maybe McIntosh is still rounding into game shape post-injury. Hopefully he felt fine after last Friday's game. If so, I am sure he will get time tomorrow.
I have liked what I have seen from Rudd in his brief career. Also may see more of Sam Lufti.
Big game tomorrow at 1pm!

Re: MBB Recruits 2021
Cards as a matter of fact Hofstra offered Gillespie first and people on this board panned the pick. Some were saying maybe he is a walk-on lol.
Villanova came in late and the rest is history.

Re: Coaching search
Go to HoopDirt.com for recent info.
As per them, Kyle Neptune the Villanova assistant, Mike Farrelley and Jin ferry the former LIU and Duquesne coach are names floating around the HU job.
Neptune has Niagara roots with Coach Joe and company. In fact he came briefly to HU before Jay Wright hired him.

Re: 2021 CAA Men’s Basketball Tournament
A couple of observations; The program is in a great place. For perspective, look at the pr catastrophe we put behind us pre Joe. We were an embarrassment. Let's hope Joe is well enough to come back if he chooses to do so. If Joe elects not to return, you must give Farrelly a real chance in a real wo...

Re: 2021 CAA Men’s Basketball Tournament
Maybe (probably?) the school is just respecting the wishes of the Mihalich family. Maybe the family is assessing the viability of Joe being able to return to coaching. HU now has a long off season and some announcement regarding his future will be forthcoming with the season no longer being front an...

ALL- CAA Basketball team
I am thinking that only one player from Hofstra makes the 1st team this year. I hope the other is second team. Will Jalen Ray be 1st team or will it be Isaac Kante? Even though the CAA is a guard league, I think Jalen is the guy. I am thinking there will be 4 guards and a forward with the forward be...

I hope he can come back to Hofstra in some capacity when his playing days are over.
