Only 7 Of The Top 30 Scorers In The CAA Are Seniors
Only 7 (actually 6 plus graduate student Nesmith) of the Top 30 scorers in the CAA are seniors. The Top 21 has 4 seniors, 8 juniors, 8 sophomores, and 1 freshman. The highest fraction of seniors in any category is 1/3rd (5 out of 15) for defensive rebounds. I may do more analysis later. Five seasons...

According to www.teamrankings.com Columbia plays the lowest scoring games in Division in terms of points per game + opponents' points per game. That site only includes games between two Division I teams.

A Delaware State Player Scored 2/3rds Of His Team's Points
Amere May scored 48 out of Delaware State's 72 points in their 72-64 win at St. Francis (NY). Tyshawn Bell scored 17, and the rest of Delaware State scored only 7. Only four Delaware State players scored.

Re: LIU game at Barclays Center
I'm not going to go unless somebody other than stuball888 and me says they will make the trip. The $40 or $23 tickets are much more expensive than what Hofstra charges.

Will Hofstra Have Two Players On The CAA First Team?
Green is fourth in scoring, tenth in field goal percentage, first in assists by a lot, fourth in free throw percentage, second in steals, first in assist/turnover ratio, and second in minutes. Tanksley is third in scoring, ninth in rebounds, third in field goal percentage, third in steals, first in ...

Re: MBB SOS
The CAA is 13th out of 32 in the Conference RPI, so hopefully our SOS will get better. Our next 11 opponents (including UNC Wilmington twice because we play them twice in that span) have a combined Division I record 34-52 (.395). That's better than the combined Division I records of our opponents so...

College of Charleston Made 16 Three-Pointers and 3 FTs
College of Charleston made 16 three-pointers, which is more than Hofstra has ever made, but lost 90-85 in overtime at Charlotte. College of Charleston made only 3 free throws. The last time Hofstra made 3 or fewer free throws was when Hofstra made 3 out of 5 (the same as College of Charleston today)...

Re: Media Thread
I like the idea of this - even better would be for all of these schools (and a few others) to finally put together a tournament - I miss the old ECAC Holiday Festival, would love to see a metro or tri-state tourney akin to that to take it's place... that would solve a lot of these poll/ranking ques...

Re: LIU game at Barclays Center
I want to go, but I can't. My family is having a party that got postponed from the 21st to the 28th because people (not me) are going to see the Jets on the 21st. I live in Merrick. I don't drive and when I attended Hofstra sometimes I took the public bus home that dropped me off at the train statio...

Re: MBB Game 09 - @ Coppin State - 12/10/14, 7:30 PM
I don't know, we have the strangest schedule this year. Look at the schedules of the teams who we played, specifically Jacksonville, Jackson St, USF, NC ST, App St - All these teams have played each other. How do Hathaway and Mihalich create a schedule? Is this similar to what Ruland was pulling at...

Re: MBB Game 09 - @ Coppin State - 12/10/14, 7:30 PM
Hofstra made 13 out of 25 three-pointers (.520) and if the other teams remain the same Hofstra will be 7th out of 351 Division I teams in three-point field goal percentage at .438. Hofstra moved up to 5th in three-point field goal percentage and 8th in three-pointers made per game, but Hofstra does...
