Don't forget that the Islanders games are a much, much better opportunity for the radio students than doing the Hofstra games. From an academic standpoint, the Islanders SHOULD be a priority.

Dennis Papadatos has been named the new wrestling coach. Former Hofstra assistant and wrestler, as well as some time coaching at UNC (most recently), Binghamton, and Northern Illinois.

I don't think so- the liveliness should actually increase the potential to hit the ball out. Also, the composition of the ball reduces the amount of juice that it loses when the weather is cold, so it should help some balls go out early in the season.

If Clemson was willing to play him almost 10 minutes a game for virtually the entire season, he can't be that terrible.

I very much doubt that Courtney Oliver will be coming back, I know she just built a house down south. Lots of options out there. Good move for Kate, as well- always good to see when an assistant becomes a head coach somewhere else.

Oh, I agree that schools can pump up grades. But there have to be enough students from Hempstead HS that go to Hofstra that you can look at their high school grades and their college grades and see a pattern. I wouldn't say it's a PC thing- while Hofstra is by no means the first, there's not many others that have done it yet, so it's not like there was pressure to make a change.
