I also have been following the Hofstra program since the Richie Laurel/John Irving days and I graduated from Hofstra in 1984...I wrote for The Chronicle and covered the basketball program when Dick Berg was the coach...

Word is were close to landing the third and final piece to this class...hearing if he comes this will be our best class since Joe arrived....know nothing more. A lot of coaches like to keep a scholarship or two in their back pocket for transfers...must be a special player for JAM to use last schola...

At today's Media Day JAM indicated team did not look good in scrimmage...he seemed a bit concerned but I guess that's part of being a coach...

Glad - not totally surprised about our preseason ranking - the season is a grind and to be on top requires a lot of work, some luck and precious few injuries. I am excited - as I am EVERY year - for the season to start. I think we will have a typical JAM team. Smaller then most of our opponents and...
