Re: Tiffany (?) from the HU Streaming Broadcast
Current WRHU'er here, passed this message board on to her! Can confirm she's a great broadcaster and spectacular to work with.

Re: MBB recruits 2016
Looking at some video of him he reminds me a lot of Ameen. Very aggressive in the paint and physical. Loves to drive, lengthy and can shoot from long range twos or threes. If he can play defense he probably instantly becomes one of the top 3-5 players on the team. Terrific pickup.

Re: MBB recruits 2016
Yeah Rok tweeted at one of them. It's not much of anything so don't make too much of it. Something like "New York would be a great place for you guys." Probably just doing his due dilligence of making a connection but I doubt there's much more to it. As people have said before, there's no ...

Re: MBB recruits 2016
Unfortunately I see the Martin brothers coming here as a pipe dream at best. If they wanted to go to a mid-major they would probably go somewhere with more recent success than Hofstra. The Pride have had two solid years but they aren't exactly world beaters. Sadly chances are probably better they en...

An interesting story in this crazy storm
So I'm going to introduce this story by mentioning that I am a Hofstra student who has already (thankfully) made it to campus prior to this storm. My girlfriend drove up yesterday with her dad and today we were supposed to drive him to a hotel. We got into our friend's car who has all-wheel drive an...

Re: MBB vs W&M, 1/23
Can confirm (thanks to a fun story I'm going to share on a new thread soon) that the W&M men's team and Towson's women's team are both in Hempstead right now. Whether they get to campus tomorrow is another story though...

Shameless plug here, but I got a chance to interview the freshmen and Mihalich and wrote a piece previewing the freshmen for the Chronicle:

Re: MBB recruits 2016
Don't forget Sabety! At this point I'd say the projected lineup for next season is Powers-Bernardi-Robinson-Gustys-Sabety with Buie, JWF, Walker, and Pemba coming off the bench. Not bad even as is. Get a couple of JUCO or graduate transfer guys and we're really talking.

Not gonna lie I'm pretty nervous. Canisius is a solid squad. Could be a trap game.

Re: Media Thread
ESPN published their College Basketball top 100 players, but no mention of Juan'ya. Lee is on the list, unsurprisingly.

Re: MBB recruits 2016
He's listed at 6-6, so probably a wing in the mold of Nichols/Tanksley/Koon. I don't know anything about what he brings to the table but glad they're going after guys in that mold.

Re: MBB recruits 2016
Agree that the rest of the scholarships should absolutely be used on wings. You lose all three of them next year (Ameen, Koon, Nichols) in a system where Joe loves to use two at a time and even use them in place of bigs at times. While having both Gustys and Sabety may allow them to use two bigs at ...
